Laser Printer Toner

Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black Toner

Toner cartridges can be brought as a set, or individually. It would be most unusual for all the toner cartridges to run out at the same time. Each different print job will use more or less laser toner. Bearing this in mind it would be prudent to have in reserve 1 Cyan, 1 Magenta, 1 Yellow and possibly 2 Black toner cartridges.

Original Toner Cartridges

All Laser Printer manufacturers produce Original toner cartridges tailored to their own products, these are the most expensive, but generally produce the best results.

Compatible Toner Cartridges

These are produced by 3rd parties, in most cases a compatible toner cartridge will provide excellent service but an original toner cartridge should always be the first choice.

Toner Cartridge Refill Kits

I would only recommend using a cartridge refill kit if you really have to. You can refill an Original toner cartridge once, twice if lucky, after this the print quality will deteriorate. There are shops which refill toner cartridges, if you are going down this route then they would be my 3rd choice. Refilling you own toner cartridge could leave you with a horrible mess, and a useless toner cartridge.
